XROSS: TEODOR KABAKCHIEV THE FASTEST RIDER ON THE 1ST OFFROAD DAY

XROSS: TEODOR KABAKCHIEV THE FASTEST RIDER ON THE 1ST OFFROAD DAY

Teodor Kabakchiev had the best time on the 1st off-road day a the Xross Rally, but it is Billy Bolt who still leads in the overall rankings!

The first off-road day at the Xross Rally took riders on the 100km long track through the wild beauty of Tara mountain. Tara is charming but wild and merciless with its terrains. These terrains turned out to be an excellent playground for extreme enduro. The riders started the day fast, but they faced some tricky and gnarly parts later on.

Bulgarian rider Teodor Kabakchiev had the fastest time on the first off-road day at the Xross rally, and that is the first time in the world championship that he managed to be the fastest. Behnid him was Michael Walkner, Manuel Lettenbichler and Billy Bolt.

In the overall standings, after day 1, Billy Bolt is still the leading rider, Teodor Kabakchiev is behind him, followed by Walkner on third and Lettenbichler on fourth place.

- It was a really good day. We had the fast start and then came a really technical section, and towards the end, that was proper extreme enduro, hard uphills, and downhills. I am happy because I was riding clean and at my own pace. I would like to thank all Bulgarians and ECONT for enabling me to race all over the world and promote my country - said Kabakchiev

Bolt was also under impression that the track was decently hard and worthy of a race in the world championship.

- Lots of trees and bushes. I took a couple of wrong turns because my navigation wasn’t good enough, so Mani took the lead. But we rode pretty well together. It was a difficult track, but I am pretty happy with how it all went and looking forward to tomorrow - said Bolt.

Mani Lettenbichler was super happy to be back to racing, and he enjoyed Tara mountain.

- It was definitely really good, and I really enjoyed it. We rode some nice river beds, the track was a mixture of everything, and it wasn’t easy at all. Billy got close to me, and we mostly rode together. I really liked the uphills, but at the river beds, I was struggling because of my knee injuries. All in all, the track is awesome, and I think the organization did a pretty good job. We will see what the next two days will bring - said Letenbichler.

Remains to see what the off-road day 2 will bring.
